Abstract

The aim of this study is to present a historical, sociological and philosophical inquiry based on the idea that utopias can only emerge in times of crisis. Utopia not only presents ideal models of future society, but also criticizes the existing order. However, it also allows for the reconstruction of truth in times of crisis. In periods when social and political solutions intensify, utopia becomes the image of an alternative way of life. In this context, utopia is a creative intellectual response to crisis. Centering on the concept of hope born of desire, the article discusses the role of utopia as a collective resistance against the dominationist nature of the existing structure. Crisis here is not a collapse but the beginning of a cycle of transformation and reconstruction. The relationship between the concept of crisis and utopia constitutes the main area of discussion of the study. Utopias come into existence through crisis, and they present an alternative universe based on the content of the crisis. This conception of the universe also constitutes the ground for individual and collective existence. Utopia also emerges as a cyclical movement that ensures the continuity of hope. Thanks to the cycle, the crisis leads to the emergence of political and social creativity. In this context, utopia is not just a dream, but a field of political movement shaped by crisis, a future imagination where collective aspirations are intensified.
